Samhein

Summer's end [Samhein] is fact approaching, and winter waves his icy fingers.

Samhein was the most significant of the four celtic festivals where Iron age Druids believed that the barrier between their tangible world and the Otherworld became thin enough to pass through. The festival of Samhein opened a doorway from summer light into the darkness of winter, where the people prepared for the darker months ahead. They celebrated with bonfires and feasting.

How will you celebrate the end of summer and the beginning of winter?
